It's a challenge for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

We're talking about the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and once went nearly four years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the record chasers, are what's still available for a team that has achieved everything.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It is hard for their batsmen to hold a record if never given the chance.

Finally, the outcome of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy getting a platform to create her newest gem.

She was troubled by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in every game, but here that only provided Healy's inspiration.

A single was taken off the bowler's initial ball and from there Healy was underway.

"A chance to go out there and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun in that regard, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

By the time she was dismissed her side required another 66 at one run per ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the belief to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, if necessary, we are confident we can do it."

These statements will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this championship need to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will win from any position has grown stronger - this success following victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

During that phase they were eliminated from the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she led her country for the first time at a significant event.

So great is her will, she later said she wished she had played through the pain.

However although she afterwards confessed those fitness problems have delayed consideration of ending her career, this tournament is anticipated as her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve a global event as skipper.

Triumph in India would take her to the summit of her final mountain.
